Connecting Microsoft 365
Connecting your Microsoft 365 tenant to Bamboozle SaaS Security enables scanning of email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams for threats, malware, and policy violations.
Before you start
You will need a Microsoft 365 account with Global Administrator privileges to complete the connection. This is required to grant the necessary permissions for scanning.
Connecting the tenant
- Log in to https://cyberprotect.bamboozle.me.
- Click SaaS Security in the left sidebar.
- Click Add source then select Microsoft 365.
- Click Connect with Microsoft.
- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account.

The permissions granted allow Bamboozle SaaS Security to:
- Scan email attachments and links for malware and phishing
- Scan files in SharePoint and OneDrive for malware
- Monitor sign-in activity for anomalies
- Read security alerts from Microsoft Defender
- Once connected, you will be returned to the console and the Microsoft 365 tenant will appear under Sources with a status of Connected.

Verifying the connection
Send a test email with a harmless test attachment to verify scanning is active:
- Go to SaaS Security then Activity.
- After sending the test email, it should appear in the activity log with a scan result of Clean.
